Art Hashtag Post 3

#artstudentproblems
This hash tag represents students who find it hard in life because they chose the art major. If you search through social media like Twitter or Instagram you’ll find a few that varies in problems. I came across posts that focus on cost wise, class wise and general art problems. Art student problem are just more than finding a job after college or making ends meat. They are real life situations. For me #artstudentproblems was having to carry around that big art kit for Burnett’s class that included the big clipboard, the drawing paper and pens or markers. It was the worst when it was windy outside. The kit had a mind of its own and would blow in any direction it chose to go. Forget trying to get through doors with it on your arms.
#musetech
Musetech or Museum Technology is the modern way up making museum trips fun. You can just take a picture of a painting or sculpture and here the history behind it. Museums are inventing new ways to make pieces interactive and age worthy and still learn in the process.Technology is growing rapidly and the fact that museums are catching on is great. The way you can now be able to take a picture or click a piece of art and hear the history behind is an upgrade from listening to tour guides speak all the time.I always found museums boring. It would be better if it were more interactive and less quiet. But the best example of #musetech is Night at the Museum. Even though the movie’s not real it would still be cool to have an interactive museum that had everything come to life. It’s learning history from those who been there.
#streetart
This may be the best hashtag because so many fail to recognize street art as real art. Street art is what you pass by at any given moment walking down the street. It's artist like Bansky that give street art a name and reason for that name to keep growing. I consider Graffiti street art because it’s unconfined. In other words it’s less uptight and stuffy then other art type.Walk to Five Points in Bronx, NY or Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, those are more than street art. They are history and mean something to not only the place it was created in, but to the people who grew up in those areas.
#artwatchers
People who are art watcher are people who see more than just the art. They see the story being the piece; they feel the connection to the piece. If it's a hashtag, then maybe its one for a reason. It's popular and actually exists. Art watchers are people who love art and wouldn't mind spending all day in a museum. I don’t get how people could just look and watch a painting. I would look at it read the insert then move on. But there are people who actually sit and watch art like it’s speaking to them. I guess those are the people who can tell the art means something and they see the story or meaning behind the painting.
#emojiarthistory
Emojis are becoming the new thing in art. There are emojis for almost anything. Food emojis, People emojis, Places emojis, and even Poo emojis (literally poo looking emojis). Today people are creating images with emojis. It's almost comedy in a sense. It's recreating historical pieces with today's modern images. I think it’s so cool to see that emojis are becoming art. Little emojis are being put together to create bigger pictures. As first it’s a little difficult to see because you end up focusing only on the emoji itself. But once you back up and look at the whole piece, you see the intended subject.

Instagram post by Harvard Art Museums:
Francesca Bacci, a curator from MART Museum in Italy, designed a “touch and collect” experience, which involved letting visitors collect tactile beads in one of our European and American art galleries (2700) that replicate the materials used in works displayed there. Then, in the Lightbox Gallery, visitors could place the collected beads in tubes, each of which represents a different material. When a tube detects a bead, the video wall showcases all of the artworks made by that material. #HarvardArtMuseums #musetech

Art Hashtag Post 1

5 Art Hashtags

  1. #artstudentproblems - I found this hashtag intriguing because I believe it. I think it could be hard to be art major and make a living as an artist. First you need to get your foot in the door, then actually get noticed for the work you do. It's hard out here for an artist.

2. #musetech- Technology is growing rapidly and the fact that museums are catching on is great. The way you can now be able to take a picture or click a piece of art and hear the history behind is an upgrade from listening to tour guides speak all the time.

Character Sketches & Ideas

My character is a female superwomen. She's shy, polite and sometime even a pushover type. But when night strikes and she slips on her high heals and tight body suit, she embodies a whole new persona. She's the no holds barred type of women. She takes no crap from anyone and is a badass.

*Sketches coming soon. She needs to get ready. You know how women are.*

Blockman Poses

This is actually the my second best I enjoyed doing in Maya. I had fun making the joints. The only problem I ran into was the ordering of the joints. The book just confused me on where everything needed to go. After three attempts of reading the order over again and again I think I got it. It was really cool working with the animation and learning how to use it. It wasn't easy and really took a while to get every step done the right way.

Red Wagon

The wagon was actually fun to make and easy to follow along. This is one out of two that I enjoyed making. I was surprised at how fast I was able to get the shading of the wheels and the editing of the UV texture.

Catapult

Just looking at the catapult I already knew I was going to have a problem. It looked too difficult and too complicated to be easy. There were definitely a lot of pieces that had to fit together, which made the process tiring and gruesome. The whole thing itself was tough but adding the ridges was the most challenging. The little parts were the hardest because you had to be detailed with the bolts and screws. Especially with the wheels being detailed and intricate, the most time went into the wheels and back section of the catapult.
