Maya Tutorial (Solar System)

At first taking on Maya was a little hard. I wasn't sure what the tools were for or how to use them. Even following  Sweeney's direction I was still lost. But later when I looked back at it and read the book to understand what I  had to do, then I was  able to comprehend how its supposed to be done. After a while I got the hang of things and started creating the planets. But when it came to putting the color to the planets, that's when everything changed. I can definitely say I learn better by reading then watching  other people do it. I need picture examples and simple wording because I can understand it more rather than somebody just telling me what to do. Making the solar system was pretty fun once you get the hang of things. I think Maya could be fun once I learn all the tricks and techniques. I also learn more by playing around with Maya and just testing different tools.

Here is part of the solar system I worked on. This is Uranus.
